Inside Mount Width

Width - Left to Right

  • Measure the window width at the top, middle, and bottom (round down to the nearest 1/8").
  • Use the smallest of the 3 measurements for the width.
  • Do not make any deductions. The manufacturer will make the necessary deductions.
######### Inside Mount Height

Height - Top to Bottom

  • Measure exact window height at left, middle, and right side (round up to the nearest 1/8").
  • Use longest height of the 3 measurements.
  • For vertical blinds and roller shades, use the shortest measurement.

Outside Mount Width

Width - Left to Right

  • Measure exact width (left to right) of the window frame.
  • Make sure to measure wide enough to cover the entire window. Add a minimum of 4" for overlap (minimum 2" per side) for optimum light control and privacy.
  • The manufacturer does not take additional deductions.
######### Outside Mount Height

Height - Top to Bottom

  • Measure exact height (top to bottom) from top inside edge to window sill, (round up to nearest 1/8").
  • Add a minimum of 3" to the height for optimum light control.
  • These are only guidelines, you may make additions to mount the blind above or beyond the frame to accommodate decorative trims or stacking. Click here for stacking chart.
