#########
Baseboard
The molding found at the bottom of your wall.
#########
Book Name
Book name is a decorating term for the title of the wallpaper book that contains sample patterns, borders, and fabrics.
#########

#########
Booking  retun to top
Booking is a technique you use when your pre-pasted wallcovering needs time to activate the paste. Temporarily fold the wet, pasted sides of your wallcovering together so the ends overlap and the sides align until the wallpaper is ready to hang.
#########
Borders
Borders are decorative strips of wallcovering often used to accent ceiling lines, chair rails, doors, windows, and other architectural features in your home.
#########
Drop Cloth
Use a drop cloth to protect your floor and furniture when you're stripping wallpaper or hanging wallpaper. You can use an old sheet, plastic sheeting, or a painter's drop cloth.
#########
Drop Match
Drop match patterns run diagonally across a wall so that every other strip is the same along the ceiling line. When hanging a drop match pattern, you'll need to align the strips carefully in order to produce good results.
#########
Free Match  retun to top
Free, or random, match patterns have designs that aren't split at the seam. When hanging free match patterns, you'll need to be careful to hang the pattern so that the pattern is aligned on your wall. See also random match.
#########
Pattern (Pattern Number)
A design printed upon a piece of wallcovering.

Each wallpaper pattern has a unique identifying code number assigned to it. This pattern number allows you to quickly shop for your wallpaper. On rare occasions, two different patterns will have the same pattern number. In this case, knowing the name of the book will help identify the pattern you want.
#########
Pattern Repeat
Most wallpapers are composed of a pattern repeated over and over along the strip of paper. For a seamless look, strips, therefore, have to be lined up correctly so that the pattern flows fluidly across the wall. The pattern repeat is a measurement of one complete pattern. Larger pattern repeats require more paper to seamlessly cover a wall. Some papers, mostly vertical striped and textured wallpapers, have no pattern repeat, so they require no matching. See also random match, drop match, and straight match.
#########
Peelable Wallpaper
A peelable wallpaper or border describes a wall covering in which the front and middle layers can be stripped away, exposing the backing material and making removal easier. Once the top two layers are removed, the backing can then be saturated with hot soapy water or other removal product and easily scraped from the wall.
#########
Plumb  retun to top
Plumb is a true vertical line on your wall. A plumb line, a weighted chalk line, helps mark this line.
#########

#########
Random Match
Random match patterns do not have specific match points. However, the final result may look better if every other strip is reversed top to bottom. Most textured wallpapers are random match patterns. They are generally considered the easiest to hang.
#########
Repeat Patterns
Repeat patterns have an identical shape or image that occurs in a set sequence on a wallcovering.
#########
Run Number
Run number (or lot number) is a specific code that reveals the production batch of wallpaper.

Wallpaper from the same run number is assured to be the exact same color. Wallpaper from different run numbers may be a slightly different shade of the same color.
#########

#########
Seam Roller  retun to top
A seam roller is a one-handed roller that flattens wallpaper seams.
#########
Sizing
Sizing is a liquid coating that generally comes in a powder form to be mixed with water and applied to the wall with a paint roller. It improves adhesion and creates a smooth, slightly glossy surface for easier positioning and hangability. Walls that have just been primed generally do not need sizing.
#########
Smoothing Brush
This kind of wide wallpaper brush is used to smooth wallpaper while hanging.
#########
Spackling Knife
You'll use a wide, triangular blade tool called a spackling knife to apply the spackling compound to your wall.
#########
Steam Stripper  retun to top
These machines use steam to soften wallpaper paste so that it can be removed easily. Steam strippers can be rented by the day at most local hardware stores.
#########

#########
Straight Match
Straight match patterns flow directly across each strip of wallpaper. The same part of the pattern in the first and following strips should always be the same distance from the ceiling.
#########
Strippable Wallpaper
Easy to remove, strippable wallpaper can be pulled off your wall in one piece without any wetting treatments or steamers.
#########
Trisodium Phosphate
TSP is a chemical solvent that can be used for cleaning your wall before wallpaper is applied. It removes old glue and dirt along with gloss from paint, which allows the wallpaper to adhere better. Be sure not to get it on any painted surfaces you're wishing to save. It is available at your local hardware store.
#########
Utility Knife  retun to top
A sharp utility knife can be used to cut wallpaper. Make sure the knife is very sharp as a dull blade can tear wallpaper.
#########
Vinyl-to-Vinyl Adhesive
A special paste designed to adhere border to vinyl wallpaper.
#########
Wallpaper Calculator
Our wallpaper calculator will help you determine how much wallpaper you need for your room. Just put in the dimensions of your room and the wallpaper calculator will tell you how much wallpaper you need.
#########
Wallpaper Paste
This paste holds unpasted wallpaper to the wall. Most of our wallpapers are pre-pasted, but make sure you know if you need paste or not before you start hanging your wallpaper.
#########
Wallpaper Trough  retun to top
Use this to soak prepasted wallpaper in order to moisten and activate the paste.
#########
Washable Wallpaper
Care for your washable wallpaper by occasionally sponging it with soap and warm water.
