  • Use a steel measuring tape and measure to the nearest 1/8”.
  • Measure the exact width (left to right) of the inside top edge of the window frame.
  • Take the smallest of the 3 measurements.
  • Your window must have a minimum depth of 1 ½" for standard clutch (chain mechanism) and 1 ¾" for a spring roller to allow for the mounting brackets.

* Do not attempt to account for fabric deductions by changing measurements on inside mount shades. *

Inside Mount Instructions - Height

  • Measure the exact height (top to bottom) from the top inside edge down to the window sill in 3 places.
  • Take the longest of the 3 measurements.
  • This is the height measurement you will order; height is always the second measurement recorded.

* Do not transpose width and height measurements. *

* Finished blind size may vary +/- 1/8”. *

Outside Mount Instructions - Width

  • Measure the exact width (left to right) of the window frame or how wide you would like the blind to be.
  • To go above and beyond the wood frame for panel tracks, add 6” to 8” to your width measurement.
  • Make sure to measure wide enough to cover the entire window and provide for minimum light gap. Adding 6” to 8” is recommended. Example: if the window opening is 70", by ordering 76", it will provide 3" coverage on each side of the window.
  • This is the width measurement you will order; width is always the first measurement recorded.
  • If you specify outside mount, the manufacturer will not take any additional deductions.
