Accessories
This category encompasses everything that isn't a rod, from curtain rings
to stand-alone swagholders.
Rings, Metal - Recommended for use with
our decorative metal rods.
Rings, Wood - Recommended for our wood
rods. Those with a "natural" finish can be stained
or painted by you to coordinate with your decor.
Finials - Decorative pieces fitted on the end
of a rod. They generally come in sets of two (one for each end).
Sconces - These decorative wall ornaments
have a hole passing through them suitable to bear swags, scarves (seen
at right) and rods (generally wooden). If using them to support a rod,
take care that the diameter of the hole in your sconce is large enough
to accomodate your rod.
Swagholder - Decorative loops on which to
hang fabric. Often used in multiples to create an entire treatment.
Sometimes referred to as a scarfholder. They can also
be used as holdbacks, pulling a curtain aside in the manner of
a tieback to reveal what lies behind it.
Tiebacks - Ideal for layered treatments. Used
to draw a curtain aside to reveal what's behind it, whether it be a
window or another treatment.

Decorative
Metal Rods
These rods are adjustable in length and often have interchangeable finials.
With a diameter of 5/8", they are the narrowest of all our rods.
If you plan on using rings, we suggest our cast metal or wrought iron
rings, found under the accessories
section. Intended for light to medium weight fabrics, up to a maximum
weight of 2.5 pounds per foot of rod. Each order includes the pole, two
finials (one for each end), and all necessary coordinating brackets and
mounting hardware. Crystal finials are constructed of faceted acrylic.
Swing Arms - Rods used for French doors.
These rods have a 90-degree bend in them that descends beneath the length
of the rod at one end. They are mounted with the bent end placed on
the outside of the treatment near the door hinges.
Traverse
Rods (return to top and menu)
Any type of rod (decorative or non-decorative) used for curtains or draperies
that allows the curtain or drapery to draw open or close across the window
by pulling a cord. Traverse rods can draw from the left, right or split
evenly from the center as ordered. They require pinch-pleated
draperies.
Our Windsor, Tradition, and Elegance traverse rods are decorative traverse
rods: they remain visible when installed, with the curtain hanging beneath
them.
Our Heavy Duty and Super Heavy Duty traverse rods are concealed by the
curtain. They are intended for heavier fabrics: up to 2 pounds per foot
of rod for the Heavy Duty, and up to 3 pounds per foot of rod for the
Super Heavy Duty. They also offer the following features:
- Universal front loading end brackets, allowing them to be easily installed
even close to the ceiling.
- Spring loaded slide gate, allowing easy addition and removal of slides
with no latch to close.
- Molded, canted slides for silent and smooth operation
- Scored center support base for mounting on narrow casings.
- Universal cam-lock stirrup that's interchangeable for inside and outside
rod.
- Braided polyester cord with polyester core to reduce stretching and
shrinking.
- Angled tip on overlap arm to reduce wear on fabric.
In addition, our Super Heavy Duty rod also offers the following:
- Metal adjustable - reversible master carriers to vary drapery overlap
- Ball bearing end pulleys for an even smoother traversing
- Can convert from two-way to one-way draw
- Constructed of 0.0165 gauge steel with contour tapered profile allows
draperies to hang neater and provides smooth operation on the longest
extensions.
- Rod edges are deburred and rounded for smooth traversing.
Wood Rods (return
to top and menu)
A decorative wood rod used to hang tab-top panels, curtains, draperies
or scarf valances. For pinch-pleated draperies, use with our optional wood
rings, found under the accessories section,
and hooks. Our wood poles are 2" in diameter (1" for roped poles).
Sets include pole, two finials (one for each end), and all necessary brackets
and mounting hardware.
Poles with a "natural" finish can be painted or stained by you
to coordinate with your room's other woodwares.
