Hanging PaperIllusion Wallpaper

Just Tear, Dip, and Apply!
It has never been simpler to create an unusual and fashionable faux finish for your walls. PaperIllusion™ gives you a unique, torn-paper look that is as easy as it is elegant. The durable paper is printed with a marbleized, hand-painted-look design and offered in a range of colors. And because PaperIllusion™ comes in pre-pasted rolls, you don't need any messy paints, pricey tools or costly contractors. You just follow these three straightforward steps:
Preparation: Gathering everything you need first can save time and hassle later. You will need a container of water, a smoothing tool, a sponge and a utility knife.
Step 1: Tear the PaperIllusion™ randomly into irregular, stone-like shapes. Tear larger pieces first, approximately 8-by-12 inches, and then tear smaller pieces as needed.

Step 2: Start with straight-edge pieces. These shapes should be used along edges, ceiling lines, baseboards, doors and windows.
Dip pieces of PaperIllusion™ in water, making sure the entire pasted side is wet. Allow excess water to drip off into the container.
Step 3: Apply the PaperIllusion™ to the wall with the straight edge of the paper at an edge, the ceiling line, edge of baseboard, door or window. This prevents excess trimming. Use your smoothing tool to remove excess water and wipe with a slightly moistened sponge. Place the second piece with its edges slightly overlapping the first piece approximately 1/4-1/2 inch.

Helpful hints:

Tip #1
When applying a piece into a corner, gently press your smoothing tool into the corner and mold the paper to the space.

Tip #2
To complete your project, trim around door frames, windowsills, light switches and countertops in your room using a utility knife and the straight edge of the smoothing tool.
